AN ACT TO AUTHORIZE THE GOVERNING AUTHORITIES OF THE CITY OF SOUTHAVEN TO PURCHASE CERTAIN PROPERTY FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING DIRECT INGRESS AND EGRESS TO A MUNICIPALLY OWNED PARK; AND FOR RELATED PURPOSES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI:

SECTION 1. The governing authorities of the City of Southaven, upon resolution duly adopted and entered upon their minutes, in their discretion, may appropriate and pay to Southaven Church of the Nazarene, out of any available funds, an amount not to exceed Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000.00) for the purpose of acquiring fee-simple title to certain property which, upon acquisition thereof, will provide direct ingress and egress to Cherry Valley Park, a municipally owned park, the property to be acquired being more particularly described as follows:

Commencing at an existing iron pin at the northeast corner of Cherry Valley Park, Southaven, Mississippi; thence southwardly along the east line of such property S 00 degrees 45' 00" E a distance of 10.08 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING; thence N 82 degrees 09' 20" E a distance of 300.50 feet to a point in the west R.O.W. line of Dorchester Drive (50" R.O.W.); thence southwardly along such line S 00 degrees 39' 32" E a distance of 60.47 feet to a point; thence S 82 degrees 09' 20" W a distance of 300.40 feet to a point in the east line of Cherry Valley Park; thence northwardly along such east line N 00 degrees 45' 00" W a distance of 60.46 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING and containing 18,027 square feet or 0.414 acres, more or less.

SECTION 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its passage.
